Feedback is now welcome

After much struggle I've finally managed to get my blog to support comments and TrackBacks. (This is what I get for using "roll your own" blogging software). I'll blog some more later about how I did this, for any Blosxom users who happen to be interested; in the meantime please report any problems to me, either as comments on this post (if you're able to) or via email.

UPDATE: I now have a blog post describing the new Blosxom plugin I wrote to support comments and TrackBacks.

Nice to see comments! Is it the "normal" writeback plugin, or something else? The reason I'm asking is that I want to enable comments too, but I'm afraid of the spam.

This is my new feedback plugin, an alternative to the original writeback plugin and derivatives of it. I sent a note to the Blosxom mailing list about it, and will also be soon posting about it to my blog (in the "blosxom" category).

The new plugin looks great, Frank. I'm going to give it a whizz on one of my sites... and the preview works a treat, too. Nice!

I hope I can figure out how to install this on my site.

I hope I can install it too. I'm getting flooded with blog-spam!

I am looking to use this on my blosxom blog as well. Just starting to get spammers now. I am sure they'll be back in force.
